A Place to Call Home: The Bungalow II at Union Village Ohio
In a sense, visiting Union Village Ohio is like stepping into a charming neighborhood from the past. Two-story homes, as well as bungalows and cottages, are set above tree-lined sidewalks. The decidedly traditional streetscape is punctuated by pops of color and interesting diversions like Italianate architecture.
The variety is made possible in part by the expertise and talent of the region’s leading custom homebuilders. One of those builders is Generations Construction, a company with a tradition of homebuilding that spans four generations in the Miami Valley. Generations constructed The Cavalier and is now building the Bungalow II just steps away.
Generations Co-owner Jeff Grisez describes the inspiration and features of the one-story home, which is under construction and offered for sale by Union Village Realty.
Why did you choose The Bungalow II for Union Village?
Grisez: “We wanted to build a one-story plan which offered some living flexibility. The Bungalow II has a large, open floor plan with two bedrooms on the first floor. The home’s lower level can be used in many ways tailored to the homeowner.”

What are some of the interesting features of the home?
Grisez: “This house plan offers a finished basement that has a bedroom and full bath, which is a great option for a teenage child, extended family members or long-term guests. The Bungalow II has a nice front porch, an open concept kitchen, and a multi-functional utility area. The utility area includes a laundry, large storage closet, a built-in bench for coats and shoes, and a command center that will help manage the house or provide a desk for someone working from home.”

The setting for The Bungalow II is a walkable neighborhood with parks and live music nearby. What do you think makes this a particularly special place to call home?
Grisez: “This home sits in front of a large community space with a fishing pond that is one-third of an acre. This and other parks nearby provide additional green space for the homeowner. Its location in the neighborhood also offers easy access in and out of the neighborhood for quick trips like the grocery.”
