Creating a Dog-Friendly Neighborhood at Union Village
As you step off the porch for a morning walk with your best furry friend, you’re greeted by friendly tail wags and playful barks from fellow canine neighbors. That's the beauty of a dog-friendly neighborhood. Union Village Ohio is built for people and their four-legged friends.
The hallmarks of a dog-friendly neighborhood can be found throughout Union Village Ohio. From each home to the community dog park, to every pathway in between, we’re building a dog-friendly neighborhood. But, it's not just about the physical environment. A dog-friendly neighborhood fosters a sense of community among dog owners. You're likely to encounter other pet parents during your walks, creating opportunities to chat, swap dog park stories, and even plan doggy playdates. This sense of camaraderie enriches the lives of every member of our households… including our dogs’!
A Great Place to Walk to the Dog
Union Village Ohio is a truly walkable neighborhood intentionally designed for traveling on foot. Wide, well-maintained sidewalks lined with Ginkgo, maple, oak and other native Ohio trees provide the perfect setting for safe and comfortable strolls with the family dog. Driveways and garages are located in the back of each home, reducing hazards of cars coming and going.
Benches and pocket parks are nestled throughout the neighborhood, providing public spaces to rest and connect with neighbors. The award-winning Union Village town plan also includes future destinations like shops and restaurants in walking distance to homes. Warren County Armco Park and Warren County Sports Park can also be accessed by walking about one mile from our neighborhood.

A Top-Notch Dog Park Just Steps from Home
A brand-new corner of the neighborhood has been designated for our four-legged residents. The Union Village Dog Park is a quarter-acre enclosure complete with benches and maple trees. Residents can walk to the dog park on a gravel pathway along the fishing pond.
Inside the dog park, our pups can burn their excess energy and explore each corner. It’s the perfect place to play fetch and release the zoomies. It’s also a great place for people and dogs to socialize.
Water and pet waste bags are available, making it easy and convenient for everyone to enjoy the dog park.
