Featured Homebuilder: Berkey Custom Homes

Before starting construction at Union Village, Kevin Keyes was part of a family tradition of building homes.

In 2019, he started Berkey Custom Homes to customize homes for each family’s needs. As part of the Union Village Guild, Berkey is building four homes in the first phase of the project.

“My company was drawn to the development because it’s focused on the quality of construction more than just the volume of houses or the size of the house,” Keyes said.

He pointed out that the two homes he’s building next to each other have completely different floor plans and will appeal to different buyers. These are just two of the options for Union Village Real Estate.

Construction of Union Village’s first homes, as well as a 22,500 square foot commercial building, began in January 2020. The 1,230-acre, award-winning planned community is based on the 10 Principles of New Urbanism, which include walkability, sustainability, and other values that make the development unique to southwest Ohio.
