Residents Celebrate a Ribbon-Cutting for Union Village
The first residents of Union Village were part of a ribbon-cutting Sept. 21, 2021 to commemorate the site’s vibrant history and distinct vision.
Members of three families took turns snipping the ceremonial ribbon following remarks from a historian, elected officials, homebuilders and others.
“Congratulations on the young birth of a daring vision,” said Turtlecreek Township Trustee Jonathan Sams. “When fully built, this community will double the size of our already growing Township. As we grow, it is important for the Township to set the mark for housing quality and community standards: Union Village does this at the very front door of our township.”
Union Village will showcase 11 homes during Dayton Homearama: Lifestyle Edition presented by CenterPoint Energy, Oct. 2 through 17 at Union Village. Ten homebuilders from Cincinnati and Dayton are participating in the show, which highlights spacious front porches, gourmet kitchens, rear-loading garages and other lifestyle trends. Live music, exhibitors, food trucks and family-friendly activities are also planned. Tickets for Dayton Homearama are $15 for adults and children under 16 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Union Village contains single family homes, townhomes, six parks, a bank and a healthcare facility. Over the next 40 years, the community will expand to 4,500 homes, additional green spaces, and shopping and dining destinations within walking distance. The neighborhood’s proximity to both Dayton and Cincinnati offers residents and future residence accessibility to both markets within a 30 minutes drive making Union Village the optimal place to live, work, and play in close proximity to all the amenities Southwest Ohio has to offer.
