Countdown to Homearama®: Builders Enter the Home Stretch
Homebuilders are putting the finishing touches on 11 homes that will be showcased during Dayton Homearama: Lifestyle Edition presented by CenterPoint Energy, Oct. 2 through 17 at Union Village. For the first time in almost a decade, the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Dayton is planning Homearama at a single site.
“Homes have never been more important,” said HBA CEO. Eric Farrell. “They are our offices, our playgrounds, and our sanctuaries. As the region descends on Union Village in October, this sentiment will be profoundly articulated and felt.”
The show will highlight spacious front porches, gourmet kitchens, rear-loading garages and other lifestyle trends. Live music, exhibitors, food trucks and family-friendly activities are also planned. Tickets for Dayton Homearama: Lifestyle Edition are on sale now. Adults are $15 and children under 16 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
The homes in the show are for sale. They include:
1. The Washington, Brookstone Homes
2. The Loudon, Redknot Homes
3. The Piedmont, Berkey Custom Homes

Union Village contains single family homes, townhomes, six parks, a bank and a healthcare facility. The neighborhood’s first residents will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 21. Over the next 40 years, the community will expand to 4,500 homes, additional green spaces, and shopping and dining destinations within walking distance. The neighborhood’s proximity to both Dayton and Cincinnati offers residents and future residence accessibility to both markets within a 30 minutes drive making Union Village the optimal place to live, work, and play in close proximity to all the amenities Southwest Ohio has to offer.
Union Village is a new community under construction in Warren County, Ohio. The 1,230-acre, master-planned community features front porches, tree-lined streets, and a small town lifestyle. The site’s town architect, Michael Watkins, earned the 2015 Urban Planning John Russell Pope Award for the Union Village master plan.
The Home Builders Association of Dayton has represented the residential construction industry throughout the Dayton region since 1942. The HBA’s mission is to advocate for policies which will allow for our industry to meet the growing and diverse needs of our region, promote awareness of the home building industry and the thousands of jobs it supports, provide a path for professional career development, and to serve as a vehicle for relationship-building and industry collaboration. In collaboration with industry partners, civic partners, and the communities we serve, the HBA exists to make the Dayton region more attractive to businesses and residents, supporting the American Dream of homeownership.
