Building a Place People Love

As a new urban development, Union Village is truly unique to southwest Ohio. Comparing it to subdivisions or even other mixed-use developments in the region is comparing apples and oranges.

The vision for Union Village is based on the 10 Principles of New Urbanism.

“We're bringing the plan and vision to life,” said Union Village Project Manager Matt Obringer.  “Some of the things that set us apart are walkability and the high level of craftsmanship that you'll find throughout the neighborhood.”

“Building Places People Love” is the tagline for the Congress for the New Urbanism, an organization that champions walkable urbanism, like Union Village.

"We think you'll love Union Village," said Obringer.

Construction of Union Village’s first homes and a 22,500 square foot commercial building began in January. Town Architect Michael Watkins earned the 2015 Urban Planning John Russell Pope Award for the 1,230-acre Union Village master plan.
