Union Village Begins Roadway Improvements on Ohio 741

Crews are adding the first right turn lane on northbound Ohio 741, which will access Lower Market Street and lead to the Union Village town center. This is the first of several roadway improvements undertaken by Union Village Development Company.

The project also includes widening Ohio 741 for the addition of middle turn lanes. On Ohio 63, a right turn lane will be added to access Ohio 741 south. Weather permitting, the roadwork will be completed in September. 

Separately, Warren County and the Ohio Department of Transportation are working on a grant application to secure funds for widening a section of Ohio 63 from Miami Valley Gaming to Ohio 741. More information will be available later this year.

In the meantime, Union Village is paving the way for construction of 30 new homes this summer. Crews are catching up on sanitary sewer installation after above-average rainfall slowed progress in June. The installation is 99 percent complete.
